TrustyTots™ Washable Twist Crayons

My best online purchase this year for my 33 month old. Bright colors, no snapping or crumbling, and easy to twist both ways. They DO make a mess, but it cleans up easily and hasn’t stained clothes or carpet. Can’t speak for walls. More than $1 per crayon seemed expensive at first, but they’re worth it.

I’m a 26 year old college art student and have tried a lot of different art materials. These crayons are fantastic if you want something with less mess than oil pastels, especially for kids. They’re incredibly smooth and really enjoyable to blend. I bought them as a treat for myself because I wanted a different tactile drawing experience from my usual pastels and crayons. I’d definitely recommend them, particularly if you want to explore an oil-pastel-like medium with more blending. An acrylic spray can seal your finished piece!

Really enjoying this set of 36 twist-up crayons. The colors are rich, bright, and show up clearly on paper. They feel more like oil crayons than traditional wax ones, which gives them that smooth, full coverage. The twist-up design is easy for small hands to hold, and the kids like their appearance. One thing to keep in mind is that the oil-based color can smear if you touch a colored area afterward. It doesn’t bother me much, but it’s worth knowing before you handle a finished picture. Otherwise, they hold up well, glide nicely, and work for coloring books, school projects, or just drawing for fun. Good quality with lots of colors to choose from. Would recommend.

Never expected to review crayons, but here I am! These are so smooth and bright. After all the boxes of snapped crayons we’ve gone through, I’m happy paying a little extra. The vivid colors clearly make coloring more enjoyable for my toddler, too.

The colors are gorgeous. I bought these for my toddler’s 3rd birthday, but most are really hard to twist and one is already broken. Now I have a frustrated toddler and sore fingers from trying to turn them.

My 2 yr old is so happy with these crayons! I wasn’t sure about them at first, but she drew on the door and window and a few sprays of Windex cleaned it right up. That convinced me! The colors are bright, they twist easily, and they’ve held up well. Four stars instead of five because the small caps worry me as a choking hazard. Apart from that, they’re great. Heads-up, they’ll draw on pretty much any surface, including skin, but cleanup has been easy easy easy!

These are so much fun, I love them. Ended up buying some for my toddler niece too, and now she draws with them allll the time. Planning to get the new 48 pack for myself as soon as I can. 🤩

Art mom checking in. We first tried silky crayons during an Airbnb stay, and my 4 year old fell in love immediately. They’re so easy to use, feel incredibly smooth, and have wonderfully rich colors. I ordered the 24 set as soon as we got home. They do get used up faster than standard crayons, especially if your child favors particular colors like mine does. I only bought this set last week and already need more black and red. The photo shows he isn’t exactly using them in the usual way, though. He still tells me every day how much he loves them! Speaking as an artist, I think they’re wonderful for laying down smooth, even color. Blending is another matter. The colors don’t seem to mix much, and there’s only so much layering you can do. I enjoy experimenting with them, but I can’t treat them exactly like markers or traditional crayons. If you regularly buy good art materials, the price won’t seem outrageous. Still, they’re on the expensive side when you consider how quickly they disappear. My 3 and 4 year olds can take the caps off and hold the crayons without trouble. Snapping the caps fully back on takes more effort, although my 4 year old eventually got the hang of it. I’ll absolutely buy these again.

Really enjoying these crayons! I’ve colored a few pages with them already. I used them with large round sponge daubers for the background on the page I attached. I got the 36 count set.

These move across the paper so smoothly and leave beautiful, rich color. Little hands can use them easily, and being washable makes the cleanup much simpler. Lovely for toddlers and other kids who enjoy coloring!

I tell EVERYONE with little kids about these. They really have washed off everything for us. Great to take along to restaurants, too. I suggest a quart-sized bag for carrying them because toddlers can get some wax on the outside lol. No broken crayons, wet wipes take the marks right off, and no stains. 100/10. My toddler colors pretty hard, so we’re ready for more after roughly 2 months, although a few still have some left. For the price, I wish each one held more product, but I’m still buying them!

creamy and soft, but they can get messy so don’t count on crisp edges. haven’t tried adding water yet, although i really enjoy smudging the colors. lots of shades, but no names or numbers on them. i sorted them by color, numbered the crayons and caps, then made a swatch sheet. much easier to choose colors now. no little kids here, these are just for me.

Love these SO much!! way better than ordinary crayons

Bought the trustytots colors for my daughter and she’s really enjoying them. The bright colors and easy grip make drawing more fun for her. They suit little hands well and keep her busy being creative. A lovely set for children who enjoy coloring and drawing.

Nice crayons, but the packaging needs improvement. Mine arrived damaged, unfortunately…

I really love the idea behind these crayons!! They slide so nicely, there’s a great selection of colors, and they feel comfortable in your hand. I’m teaching my son to color and thought the smooth application would work well for him. I also like that they retract, which helps cut down the mess.

Like coloring with butter! My kids love these, and it takes very little pressure to get a really strong color. They remind me of Crayola pastels, but these are non-toxic and I can clean them off skin, walls, and other hard surfaces with a hand wipe. HOWEVER, carpets and rugs need more caution. I got most of the red out of our rug, but there’s still a stain even after spot treatment and using a wet vac. I’m still giving them five stars. We love the retractable design, and they last us a good while before we need more. Approved by the kids AND the grown-ups 👍
